Today, March 27, the Russian army struck Kharkiv for the first time using a guided munition. This information was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, and the deputy chief of the National Police Department in the Kharkiv region, Serhiy Bolvinov. Synegubov emphasized that the information provided is preliminary and subject to further verification.

According to Synegubov, it was the first time that Russians targeted Kharkiv with a large-caliber guided munition.

Bolvinov stated that Kharkiv was hit by air bombs for the first time since 2022.

The Shevchenkivskyi district was under attack, and according to verified information, the Russian forces used a cheap analog of a cruise missile.

"The UMPB D-30SN, based on the FAB-250, was used. There were two strikes - the first hit the public school, the second landed right in the middle of residential buildings," wrote the police officer.

Bolvinov added that all services are working at the scene, and a rescue operation has begun.

According to the latest information, 16 people have been injured, with one more fatality.

In recent times, Russian forces have intensified shelling of Ukraine. Over the past few days, our country has faced several massed attacks. Harshly hit by the assaults multiple times was Kharkiv. Specifically, on March 22, Russian forces launched over 15 strikes on it. The primary target became energy facilities.

As a result of the Russian strikes, the entire city was left without power. The restoration of electricity began in several stages, prioritizing critical infrastructure sites.
