The documentary film about the war in Ukraine and the work of the Donetsk police near the front lines, produced by the German TV channel ZDF, has won two awards in the United States. During the NYF 2024 (New York Festivals TV & Film Awards), the film was honored in the "Docudrama" category. The winners of the television and film awards were announced in New York on April 16 during the virtual gala evening of Storytellers.

The film "White Angel - the End of Maryinka" tells the story of the destruction of the city of Maryinka by Russian forces and the heroic struggle of the police to save its residents. It is worth reminding that the "white angels," together with the authorities and volunteers, evacuated all civilians before the city was finally destroyed and occupied.

The basis of the film consists of footage shot by German journalists in Maryinka in 2022, interviews with rescued people and law enforcement officers in 2023, as well as recordings from GoPro cameras worn by the police. The author and director of the film is Arndt Ginzel.

The group "White Angel," which operates on the Maryinka front, continues to evacuate residents under fire from other settlements being stormed by the Russians.
