The Russian forces carried out 5 missile and 77 air strikes, conducting about 76 shelling attacks from rocket artillery systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. During the past day, populated areas in Hremyach of Chernihiv region; Kupiansk, Hlushkivka, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region; Ivanivka, Pivnichne, Ocheretine, New York, Novokalynove, Berdychiv, Semenivka, Selydove, Karlivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Staryi Maiorsk, Urozhaine, Krasnohorivka, and Pobieda of Donetsk region, as well as Krynyky in Kherson region, were subjected to airstrikes.

More than 120 populated areas of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes.

Siversk and Slobozhansk axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The Russian troops conduct subversive activities in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The adversary increases the density of minefields along the state border.

Kupyansk axis: the Russian forces launched 5 attacks at the Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Berestove (Kharkiv region).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 19 in the vicinities of Hrekivka, Nevs’ke (Luhansk region), Terny, and Yampolivka (Donetsk region).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian troops repelled 21 attacks in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk region), Verkhn’okam’yans’ke, Novyi, Spirne, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka (Donetsk region). With the air support, the Russian forces attempted to improve their tactical position in that area.

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 attacks in the vicinities of Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove, Pervomais’ke, and Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk region). The Russian forces attempted to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions in that area.

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian forces in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, and Urozhaine (Donetsk region). With the air support, the Russian forces made 24 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense in that area.

Orikhiv axis: with the air support, the Russian forces launched 5 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk region) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia region).

Kherson axis: the Russian forces does not abandon its intention to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. On April 23, the adversary used air support as it launched 3 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Krynky (Kherson region).

At the same time, the Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation troops, and exhausting the Russian forces all along the line of contact.

On April 23, Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 17 concentrations of troops and 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the adversary.

The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 1 UAV ground control station, 1 concentration of weapons and military equipment, 2 concentrations of troops, 1 air defense system, and 3 other important targets of the Russian forces.
